Hard Pimple On Front Of The Ear Canal, Swollen, Feels Like Under The Ear, Tender To Touch. What Could It Be?
i noticed likehard pimple in front of ear cannal touching it . it swollen up right in front of ear cannal now feels like its in or under ear tender to touch what is it? appeared from no where soon as i noticed it swoll up right where cover flap of ear covers cannal slightly swoll bigger than other side right where ear lobe is, feels like tiny football shape ,hard waterbaloon but on face side on cheek not behind , i dont know how to describe it when i yawn feels like pain is in ear and couple days ago q-tip cleaning went in alittle far with small blood color on q-tip and now infected ?
Hello, Yes this is infection of the root of hair due to vigorous manipulation or cleaning it is called furunculosis. You need to get an ENT consultation and take antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines. You need antibiotics as the infection will not go on its own . the best antibiotics are quinolones like ciprofloxacin but discuss with your doctor before taking any. If not treated there can be pus formation . If you have diabetes then be careful and take early treatment. Do not try to press or check it again and again by yourself
