I got my eyebrow pierced and I had it for about 6 months but about a month ago I noticed a hard not under my skin and it was sore it was about a size of a pea and leaking white clearish pus. But when I cleaned it and put bacterial spray on it the soreness went away and the knot is still there do you know what this could be. it hasnt grown in size at all
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. From the description it seems the pierced area developed some secondary bacterial infection. Such infections can be treated with warm water compresses followed by topical antibiotic cream application like fusidic acid or mupirocin. Sometimes for better and faster resolution a course of oral antibiotic is prescribed. Another possibility that can lead to hard knot formation is keloid. It can be treated with steroids and cryotherapy. I would advise you to meet a dermatologist nearby, so that proper diagnosis based treatment can be advised. Hope that helped.
