Had Stents Placed Due To Blockage. Having Pains In Chest, Tightness In Chest, Upper Left Arm After Change In Diet. GI Or Heart Related?

Had two stents placed in circumflex artery 90% blocked five months ago. I recovered quickly, began exercising, changed diet and have lost 30 pounds. All was well until two weeks ago when I began to have gas pains in my chest frequently, sometimes also tightness in upper left arm. But had no problems while exercising four or five times a week, fast walking and slow running for about 40 minutes each time. Saw cardiologist last week, he thinks discomfort in chest is GI not heart because it does not occur when I exercise. Today I had nuclear stress test, no problem got heart rate to 145 target felt fine, sent home after test. But I still get the gas pains in my chest in different places and sometimes tightness in chest and upper left arm. What do you think.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
If your EKG does not show any changes then nothing to worry about it this is acid reflux pain which is very similar to the cardiac pain, If I would be your Doctor then I would certainly put you on proton pump inhibitor and this gives very good result "Omeprazole 40 mg at evening time for six week will give excellent result try it and forget the heart problem have nice day.
