Had Sex. Have Swollen Labia, Feel Burnt And Stinges While Urinating. Can It Be STD?
Hi there I went away with my new boyfriend for 5 days and we ha sex approx 12 times. I was a little bit sore after however a day later after no sex my labia both other and inner has swollen hugely, feel burnt, and it stings when I pee, and the pee/ discharge has a unpleasant odour. i've been like this for or 48 hours now and wondering if I need to see a doc to get some antibiotics? I don't want to have the STD check conversation with the boyfriend until I can better establish what is wrong. Thanks Kate
It is probably due to vaginal infection with association of UTI. Here, you need to undergo one routine urine examination, vaginal swab test along with complete STD panel. Take proper antibiotic and vaginal suppository to eliminate this problem after consultation with doctor.
Drink plenty of water, maintain genital hygiene and practice protected & safe sex in future. Good luck.
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should consult a gynaecologist because foul smelling discharge means there is some infection. You should go for proper examination and culture and sensitivity of vaginal discharge and please rule out STD also.
Please do safe and protected sex in future.
Good luck.
Take care.
