Had Pneumonia With High Fever, Hair Loss, Prescribed A White Pill. Any Idea What It Is ?

Just curious,back about 1958 I had pneumonia couldn't keep anything down,104 fever,seemed like a week, hair fell out in a couple of spots on my head. The doctor finally prescribed a white pill the size of a giant aspirin or size of rolaid ,any idea what it was? had some left years ago,if you got the flue take one lay down for 1 or 2 hrs, gone. The only that saved my life!

Hello;

By your history and your description it sounds like the medication may have been Tamiflu. This is a medication used to treat the flu. It decreases the length of symptoms in patients suspected of having the flu.
