Had lipo on her stomach, causing body odour, smelling from pores. Suggestion?

Hi doc. I have a friend that recently did lipo on her stomach and luv handles just about 3 months ago...since then her body odor changed and every1 around her notices it except her...she honestly smells like meat-fat and it seems as though the smell is coming from her pores...should she be worried? Also she did not ooze at all...

It has observed that the downtime with any surgery can vary based on the individual. Although, in my experience, liposuction is one of the easiest procedures in terms of recovery time. Most patients will be able to return to work within a week post procedure, however some of patients are good to go within a few days. There will be some swelling and bruising from the surgery that will last a few weeks, and then mild residual swelling that will slowly diminish over 3-6 months.

I usually recommend that patients start to ramp up into their prior workout routine at about three weeks. Also be careful about your daily Diet Plan. Use Aloe Vera Gel everyday for detoxification.

We endeavor our effort to serve you better.

God Bless you.
