Hi I had a discectomy 4 months ago as I had a ruptured disc , the centre had dropped out on to the nerve root which affected my bowels slightly and had caused numbness in my bottom, leg and foot. The numbness is still there, do you think massage would help

Massage will help so you can go ahead and get this. Along with this you should also take Methylcobal tablet daily. I do not understand when you say your bowel are affected. Does that mean that you are not able to pass stool at all. What about urine. Is it coming out without control. If answer of these question are yes then you need a repeat MRI .
I find this answer helpful
