Had C-section And Breast Feeding. Suffering From Gas. Prescribed Mucaine Syrup. What To Do?

This is Chitra. I Underwent ceserean 50 days back and i am breastfeeding my child.For the past 2 days i am releasing gas every 10 minutes and also my motion is not proper. MY Gynaecologist suggested Mucaine syrup but i read that this syurp is contraindicated during breastfeeding..please suggest what to do. This problem is an effect of C or what?

Hi Chitra,

Thank you for your query.

You have mentioned that your motion is not proper. It would have been better if you had informed us more about this. In case you are passing motion frequently then you need to get your stool examined. In case there is some infestation like amoebiasis then appropriate medication would have to be taken for relief.

Hi Chitra,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

What happened to motion?

Are you passing loose stools or hard stools?

Are you constipated?

This is not related to C section.

You can take Mucaine syrup as per the prescription of your doctor and it is not a contraindicated drug during breastfeeding.
