Had Ascending Aortic Dissection, Replaced Aortic Valve. Having Decreased Mental Functioning. Related To Dissections?

I had an ascending aortic dissection in 2005 and they replaced my aortic valve. In 2009, I had a descending dissection that is managed medically. Recently (last 3 months) I have noticed decreasing mental function/memory. I am 48 and work as a lawyer, it is interfering with my work. Could this be related to my dissections?

Hi!

Yes the decrease of intellectual may be related to the aortic intervention.

To evaluate this a neurological visit and ct of the head should be done.
