Had An Accident. Have Pain In Back. X-ray Shows No Problem. Swelling Seen At Times. Suggestions?

My son and I were in a car accident in mid april and he has been complaining of his back since about a week after the accident and no one would listen to me! I took him to urgent care a couple of weeks ago about the problem and had them take xrays... they shortly dismissed it as nothing, and the pain hasn t eased up! When the pain flares up he refuses to play, wants to lay down, and screams in pain when anyone tries to touch the area I have also noticed a swelling in his lower back that comes and goes on a daily basis. His pediatrician also tried to dismiss me as an over reacting mom but decided to get xrays done again, however, she told me i was crazy when i told her about the swelling! I would like a second opinion on my concerns! Can someone please tell me if this is a possible serious problem?

HI,
As all x-rays are normal, it seems that he might have some back muscle strain giving rise to pain while doing movement on that part.
Give him some pain relieving medicines for few days, if no improvement then consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
