Had Acne, Pimples. Later Formed Red Mark. Tried Picking. Now Using Tufacne, Cataphel As A Cleanser. Safe Remedy?

I had acne a month ago. At first I thought it was just pimples, later on it formed a red mark on it..i tried picking which I regret now that I shouldn t have done that. So I went to drug store the doc gave me benzoyl peroxide gel and vitamin A capsule. After that I could see some changes but still then the red marks won t go. When I go outside the mark seems to fade but it looks gross when the night falls. Ofcourse few acne/pimples do exist now and then. So with the help of my friend who just got cleared fron the same problem advised me to go for tufacne 20 mg..i have started it from yesterday. And im using cataphel os as a cleanser. Please help me if there is any suggest in those products and medication that im using and also if there is anything that I should for that red scar.My friend who underwent a treayment got all cleared up. The dermatologist prescribed tufacne, photopan gel, cataphel, lucidium and acnovate(though he didnt use this acnivate much). After a month he had all cleared up from those scars and blemishes, hardly he could see those marks...Reply awaited!

hi. Acne is a very common problem in young age. Treatment can vary depending on the severity of the acne. Treatment which is given to one person might not be ideal for someone else. So you should always consult a dermatologist and its advisable not to self medicate.

Anyways coming to your question. First of all i must tell you that with proper treatment and follow up almost all kinds of acne can be cured finally!!

You should use a mild cleanser like cetaphil which you are already using.

I would recommend adding an antibiotic like Azithromycin to your prescription.

Use a topical clindamycin gel daily during the day

Use Acnovate/Deriva- CMS gel once daily in the night.

Regarding Tufacne(Isotretinoin), I would advice that you visit a dermatologist and discuss with him whether you require it or not. It also requires a few blood tests to be done plus he would have a look at your acne severity and advice wisely whether you need to started on isotretinoin or not.
