Had Aching In Knee. Hard Movable Lump On Knee. Advice?

Hi about 3 weeks ago I had some aching in my left knee. Did not think too much about this as I usually get joint ache in knees and elbows, however yesterday it was very achy and I noticed that there was a lump which feels hard and can be moved around, about 3cm round. This is situated right next to the patella on the inside?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the knee with a palpable lump is likely to be due to an inflamed bursa. This needs a direct examination for confirmation of diagnosis. You can do a hot fomentation and take a mild pain killer till then.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Praveen-Tayal
