Green Pus In The Urine, History Of UTI's. Is This The Same ?

Hi. May i ask please. My boyfriend just found tonight a pus in his urine . It is slightly green. He has history of urinary tract infection 2Years ago. And he said he ate more than one week of noodles nowadays. Is it still urinary tract infection? I am worried because he said 2years ago he had mutliple sex. So i dont know if it s only a UTI?

Thanks for your query.Your boyfriend ia passing green color pus in urine since 2 wees.Though he had history of passing pus in urine 2 years back this episode is not related to old one and should be taken as a fresh episode of UTI.Please get following test done to confirm the same..
1) Routine Urine examination
2) Gram staining of the pus that is being discharge through Urethra.
3) Urine culture and sensitivity.
These test will help to conclude the nature of Organisms responsible for infection and in deciding the appropriate antibiotic to be taken. In the mean while he can start taking antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin twice daily and once he gets his Urine culture .report switch on to the antibiotic as per sensitivity report..

In this situation, it is better to get URINE tested as green urine is suggestive of a serious bacteria causing UTI.
If positive, appropriate antibiotics should do the trick.
