Golden Staff Infection, Deep Ulcer On One Leg With Stabbing Pain And Lower Legs Swollen. On Blood Thinners. Likely Treatment ?

My mum is going to hospital today with a golden staff infection. She has a deep ulcer on one leg and both lower legs are swollen. She feels a sharp stabbing pain in the site of the ulcer. Both legs are leaking fluid. She takes blood thinners for a heart condition and aspirin and does not heal well. What might be a likely treatment?

hi thanks for choosing HCM
Your mother seems to be having infection in the leg which has caused the ulcer and swelling. She will require antibiotics and hospitalisation. This infection can spread and cause systemic infection that can deteriorate her condition.
Hope this helps you
Take care
