I am a Homoeopath and I am trying to answer your question in the perspective of Homoeopathy. If you have no idea about Homoeopathy, my answer may appear strange for you.
The description of the affection of your navel shows an infection. Any infection has got two aspects: one is the germ factor - meaning the bacteria or virus or such disease producing organisms, two is the host factor- meaning the individual who suffers from the problem of infection. We hold that no bacteria can unconditionally make you sick by invading your system and making a colony of growth unless your resistance gets lowered by some or other reason. This reason can also be psychological, which very often is forgotten.
Since the host factor is more important for a Homoeopath, we have to get the details about the patient, which is not available in the question. But a physician of the conventional school of medicine can very easily prescribe an antibiotic because he seldom looks the host factor. By administering an antibiotic, the germ factor will be corrected. The germs can be killed and can give relief until the action of the drug remains. Since the original host factor which caused the infection to exist and get worse remains there, there is every chance of recurrence. This is what happened in your case.
Now we have to probe the host factor in detail. We homoeopaths do it through a very detailed case taking. During this case taking we try to understand what happened to you prior to the infection physically or mentally. Since you have very clearly said that the problem is there since 10 days, it is easy to find out the life situations you underwent just before 10 days and how you reacted to that. These emotional situations you underwent or the physical or mental trauma you had, how you reacted to them are all important things to be considered. Your reactions show your physical and mental make up. We Homoeopaths do not treat the disease but treat the patient who suffers from the disease. Therefore we can improve the resistance of the individual and can cure the disease very easily and permanently.
