Getting Headaches With Disoriented Feeling After Taking Covance AT For BP. Suggested Change To Triolvance
Hi, I have been taking Covance AT for 10 years or so and the BP hovers around 135-140/ 80-85. Recently I have started getting headaches around the top/back of my head sometimes coupled with a disoriented feeling. My GP has suggested a change to Triolvance and feels that nothing else is required. Your suggestions please..
Hello Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Triolvance is olmesartan medoxomil is a good and potent anti hypertensive drug . But the headache particularly in the back , in my opinion , in hypertensive patient is dangerous and is a cause of concern. As you mentioned that you are taking antihypertensive medicine from last 10 years i.e. more danger . As a hypertensive patient with headache , particularly in the back is concerning . You need to investigated with EKG and E C HO to isolate the case. I would recommend you visit a cardiologist at the earliest & sort this problem. Good luck. Dr. HET
