Gastric Problems, Belching. Endoscopy Done. Prescribed Pantocid, Problem Recurring After Stopping Medication
Hi,
I am Abhishek and having gastric problem since last 3-4 months.
I am having continous belching problem. Seems lots of gas formation is there. I visited a doctor and after endoscopy he prescribed Pantocid L for a month. I felt better but after stopping the capsule, this gastric trouble is started again.
Pls suggest what should I do.

Diagnosis is established after endoscopy and got relief with proton pump inhibitors, symptoms recurs .
In my opinion you should take following measures beside treatment .
1 Try raising the head of your bed four inches with blocks.It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for two hours before you lie down.To help control stomach acid one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolates or spicy or greasy foods .Also take some antacid with oxetacaine in them . As in your case symptoms are severe so take proton pump inhibitors ( pantoprazole ).
2 Tension & stress are the main reason beside others of hyper acidity , so consult a psychiatrist and get his opinion.
3 Over eating is the other cause of gastritis , so be aware about . Take enzyme preparation for good digestion.
All these above mentioned measures will help you.
