Frequent Headaches, Nausea. Waiting Results For Visual Field Test. Any Ideas?

Hi! I am wondering what your thoughts are regarding my eye pain. I have daily headaches above both eyes but worse on the left side. They make me feel nauseaous and a bit dizzy. I had a visual field test done with my optician and was unable to see the dots moving with my left eye. I was referred for a visual evoked potential test which I completed but do not know the results and have now been referred for another visual field test at the hospital next week. No-one has mentioned what they are looking for but my worry is Glaucoma. I am a 35 year old female who has never smoked or taken any drugs. If you could give me your thoughts I would be most grateful. Thank you.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.
Glaucoma can cause headaches as well as visual field defects, as described by you. However, we need the reports of visual fields and visual evoked potential to make a better diagnosis. If VEP is abnormal, then a brain MRI may also be required to rule out multiple sclerosis.

Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
