Forearm Pain, Sharp Pains, Veins Showing Through, Painkillers Provide No Relief
Hi for the last couple of months now ive had an ache in my forearm sometimes its very short sharp pains dont last very long then the ache continues it also is very uncomfortable to raise my arm when this is happening, the main veins running down my arm to my hand are very promidant when the pain accures, iv been rubbing pain killer creams in but nothing seems to help iv not pulled a mussel or done any thing strenious for this to happen, please could you help me to solve this.
Your sharp shooting painin the forerm may be due to Cervical spondylosis.Basically it is due to the vertebrae in your neck neck pressing on the spinal nerves coming out rom them to supply your arm.Firstly you should try sleeping without a pillow. You should also do exercises to strengthen your neck muscles. The pain if severe should be managed with T Etorocoxib 60mg once daily for a week. You should consult a physiotherapist to tell you about the neck exercises. you should get an ECG taken as sometimes heart disease can also present as arm pain(in this case highly unlikely but better to rule it out)
