For How Many Days Can I Take Regestrone And Does Stopping It Cause Period Again?

Hi, I am 45 years old last three days i am suffering Very heavy bleeding problem, I take pause 500 3 tab in a day but it does not work, then my doctor prescribe be Regestrone 5 mg thrice a day now it work. My question is how many days i can take Regestrone 5 mg ? and if i Stop Regestrone 5 mg then my period will start again?

Hi,

Regestrone 5 mg Tablet is a synthetic progestin, it is used to treat menstrual irregularities. In your case, as the bleeding has been stopped, u can now stop using it. Usually stopping Regestrone won't bring back your period, although you may need to find out the cause of your heavy bleeding.

You should have an opinion of your gynecologist to find out the exact cause of your heavy bleeding.
