For a long time now I do not like riding in a car. It's getting worse and worse. I am almost confined to the local area where I live. My husband drives about 98% of the time. I hate going on freeways. Lately its been also late at night. My husband is an absolute wonderful safe driver. I am a really back set driver with him now. We got married 3 years ago. I was bad but not as bad as I am getting now. I was married before for 42 years. My husband died. The last year he lived he bought a Toyota Yauyrus. I was driving a big Toyota Tundra truck. After two moths riding in the Yauryus I felt I was going 110 mph on the highway and he was only driving 65 mph. This is when my phobia first started. I finally told him I couldn't ride in the Yauryus anymore because he make me freak out so much. My husband died five months later and I sold the Yauryus. I am 68 years old and I would like to get over this phobia and its getting worse. We still have a 2015 Tundra and a 1995 Jeep I can ride in still without going nuts. I seem to think of what might happen, what other drivers might do and react accordingly even though there is nothing happening. I would really like some help and I read an advertisement on hypnotherapy. My husband has a court hearing for restitution of property stolen and wants me to go 150 miles from home, which 60 miles would be on the freeway, and I told him I didn't want to go. He told me wouldn't go then. We're talking some major money getting back. I have tried to explain to him what it feels like but I don't think he understands. It's Tuesday and we have to leave on Monday to be in court on Tuesday. Can you please help me with any suggestions.
