Foot Injury, Painful, Wrapped Ankle In Towel And Ice. Should I See A Doctor?

Earlier today I was playing basketball when i jumped and somehow managed to land on the side of my left foot . I felt and heard cracking and it was very painful. I currently have my ankle wrapped in a towel and ice. I would like to know if I should see a doctor because I have never had an accident to my ankle where i felt and heard cracking

Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Yes - you MUST see a doctor.
You will need X-ray.
A small fracture is highly likely - which can not be always diagnosed by examination alone.

Rest to the part / Cold compress / Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs like Ibuprofen - may help in the mean time.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
