Flea Bites, Redness, Inflammation. Creams, Hayfever Tablets Ineffective. Salt Water Helps. Advise?

Hello,
Had flea bites on legs a couple of weeks ago, treated cat and house so fleas now gone but bites are not healing. Skin has split in couple of places and scabbed over (haven't scrathed unless in sleep!) but rest still red and a bit inflamed. Have taken hayfever tablets and applied antihistamine cream, antiseptic cream and tea tree cream but nothing seems to work. The only thing that has helped is putting salt water on in evening! Pharmacist said not to use steroid cream as skin broken. Thinking of going to doctors for antibiotics but usually try not to take too much. Thanks

Hello
Welcome to healthcare magic forum.
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem.
You have secondary bacterial infection also and that is the reason for delay healing.
You need to take antibiotic medicine for it,
you can apply mupirocin cream over it.
You can take analgesic medicine also.
Wear full cloths and do not scratch or rub over the lesion.
it is better to consult dermatologist for proper treatment.
please do not use steroid cream over the lesion.
I hope I answered your question.
Let me know if you have any further query.
Regards
