Fever And Cough. On R-Cinex 600, Pyzina, Combutol, Benedon, Streptomycin And Liver Protective Drugs. Is This A Right Treatment?

With 7 days of treatment of ATTs, i.e. R-Cinex 600, Pyzina, Combutol, and Benedon, my sister (37 years, diabetic for the past 3 years) got SGOT and SGPT levels rise to 162 and 109, respectively. She isi still having episodes of fever and cough. The doctor has stopped her r-cinex and pyzina and put her on Inj. Streptomycin and liver protective drugs. He says that that he will gradually introduce them again. Can you please suggest me the whether his paln of action is correct?

Hello,

Your sister is a diabetic and suffering from Tuberculosis.
After taking ATT she has developed hepatitis.
So she is on injection Streptomycin.
The doctor is correct by reintroducing one by one in a gradual fashion.
Because we may know the offending drug.
Keep a watch on her LFT.
Diabetic patients are at risk of developing tuberculosis than non diabetic that to when the blood sugar is not under control.
