Felt Really Sick On Stomach, Slept All Day, No Appetite, Pain In Back Of Head. Is This Linked To Low Blood Sugar ?

Few days ago I felt really sick to the stomach , I slept all day and had no appetite , When i stood up i felt like I was going to throw up. It went away but came back, i fell a pain in the back of my head when stand up, I feel like sleeping and lying down all the time, and I have fatigue . I am a 14 year old girl, I was considering this may be linked to low blood sugar levels?

Hi and thanks for your query,
this is not actually the classical presentation of diabetes any way, but its always a good idea to screen for diabetes even when we are asymptomatic.
It shall be interesting to know whether you have started seeing your menses or not. These symptoms in some young girls are usually associated wit their cycles.
Consulting your primary care physician for a proper clinical evaluation, carrying out a full blood count to check for hemoglobin levels is a good idea. With this, a good diagnosis and management plan can then be made.
thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
