Hello,
thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I am sorry to say that there is something wrong in your treatment and diagnosis.
High blood pressure is one thing and notably two things are there as.
120/80 mm of hg. ( normal)
Please note that 120 is a systolic blood pressure ( in lay mans term upper B P).
Due to mere anxiety and sudden tension systolic B P shoot up at once even 170-180 , but not dangerous , in such type of situation this come down within short period.
The cause of concern is diastolic B P ( lower B P in lay mans language), if this B P is 90 or above than towards danger zone, if 100 or more than more dangerous and usually in heart disease as may be in your case.
So please get in blood for lipid profile, S G O T, S G P T , C P K , etc.
Echo, treadmill test and if possible angiography of heart arteries.
Consult another physician for 2 nd opinion.
Good Luck

Dear Mr. Dee
Thanks for your query to us.
Does this feeling of load on chest comes with exertion or its there at rest too? If the feeling is there all the time and you feel it comes on eating too and is not increased or perpetuated by exercise/exertion/running/using stairs, then its probably non-cardiac.
If you feel heart is week and you feel tired and dizzy, you must see your physician once. As both these things require examination, you definitely need to see him.
Blood pressure need to be controlled and LVH need to be reversed if feasible. Both will require change of medication and/ or life style improvements like low salt intake, exercise, weight control, avoiding smoking and moderation of alcohol.
Sincerely
sukhvinder singh
