Feeling Of Tap Taping Sound In Ear, Feels Like Fluid Moving. Had Stapedectomy For Improved Hearing

Hi, I had a Stapedectomy 3 months ago on a left ear and have improved hearing. I have been left with a tap taping sound in my ear and when I am lying done in bed and turn over the ear makes a loud bang in my ear and feels like fluid moving I have been told it should go away that the ear is still healing but cannot sleep well with it.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Sound in ear especially on a lying down position could be because of fluid collection in the ear, but should have gone by now, unless you have a allergic or infected nose.
To get it ruled out you can get doen Impedance audiometry as 3 months have passed.
This test will tell about if there is any fluid collection or retraction of the ear drum.
If this is the condition then you may require decongestants oral and intranasal drops, what ever your doctor prescribes.
In doubt do reply
