Feel Chest Heaviness, Need Deep Breath To Fill Lungs. Suspected For Sigh Syndrome. History Of Anxiety And Smoker
For the past month I feel like I have a weight on my chest. Almost like I have to take a deep breath to fill my lungs. My family doctor says he believes it is "sigh syndrome". I am very worried that it could be something worse. I am a former smoker, recently quit and have a history of anxiety. The feeling is there everyday & sometimes wakes me up at night.
I went through your problem description. I sincerely think there is nothing serious in you. The syndrome you are speaking about is a syndrome. Syndromes are not diseases but state of mind. They can be easily treated.
You had anxiety and were a smoker. Quitting smoking is not enough. You should be able to quit the anxiet about its after effects as well. You must believe in popular notion "No diseases can trouble a person who is living happy, exercising and eating balanced diet".
Follow the above things properly and you should be out of these syndrome. Consult a psychologist for counseling if need be.
Hope this clears your doubt. Available for further clarification. Good Luck. Get well soon.
