Explain The Physical Feature Of Silver Centrum Vitamin Tablets
Good day Doc, A friend gave me numerous tablets of Silver Centrum Vitamins with expiration on Sept. 2014. This i plan to give to my parents who aged 65. However, when I took a closer look of the vitamins, there were many brown spots/ dots on the surface. I bought from the drugstore a sample of the vitamin to check if it is just normal, but have seen no spots. I m now wondering if the one that my friend gave are safe or not(expired). Shall i continue to give it to my parents? Please help. Thank you very much. Chou

Every medication has a certain shelf life. Hence, batch number, manufacturing and expiry date/month/year would have been mentioned on it.
Irrespective of its appearance or change in colour, it is not advisable to use any of the drugs which are expired.
Either it may have no effect or may cause severe untoward reactions. Hence, such medications should not be used and discarded.
