Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell on my knee over a month ago, all surface bruising has gone away but my knee is still very sore near the knee cap and tibia, tender to touch. Also my knee now clicks. Should I be worried that I may have a serious injury? I can walk on it ok but I can not kneel on it due to a sharp pain.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. **From description , it seems you might developed muscular or ligamentous strain over knee . Now after 4 weeks if pain is severe ,I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance. Meanwhile following measures will help with the pain
• Anti -inflammatory drugs like Tablet Motrin 1 tablet as and when required • Avoid strenuous activity & movement that causes pain. • Apply diclofenac gel on the affected area. Warm compresses will also help.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
