Experiencing Severe Stomach Cramps Post Lap Hysterectomy

Hi, I had a lap hysterectomy two weeks ago and the vaginal pack was left in by the nurse 12 hours after the surgeon and my consultant stated they wanted it removed. I was one of four patients so the ward wasn t busy, the theatre nurse handed over that the catheter and vaginal pack were both to be removed at 10pm and it also stated that in capital letters on my notes but as above this didn t happen until the next morning. Due to the error my bladder wouldn t work so I had to have a catheter put back in for ten days to re-train it, no I ve got major stomach cramps and pain from my naval down, which i didn t before and pain when I pass urine is this normal as I feel that the nurse did not carry out the correct post operative care and that these problems all stem from this situation, which is extremely distressing and making me unable to sleep both through pain and general distress.
