Experiencing Pain And Reoccurance Of Jaundice Being On ERCP

i am 66 years old (female). recently I am under ERCP with stent due to bile duck in my gallbalder as well as in the bile. after few days i was feeling better but now i have a pain and recurrence of janundace. my doctor has told us that i will survie not more than 6 months. pls sugesst me how we can relive from this

Hi,I can understand your problem and as a GI surgeon i use to get 3-4 patients per week with similar features.According to your history it looks like a malignancy of biliary system.Survival depends upon lot of factors like age,stage on imaging.If you have a recurrence of pain and jaundice even after ERCP stenting it could be due to stent block could be due to tumour in growth or due to cholangitis.You require re admition and repeat ERCP with re stenting
