Experiencing Electrifying Pain On Arm,shoulders And Near Elbow.What Treatment Is Suggested ?
Hi, I have this electrical type of pain and also (an ache type of pain back upper right arm) in my whole right arm from the shoulder mostly just below the shoulder and its on the back side of the arm and then goes to the thumb side of my arm from elbow to tip of thumb. Elbow not affected. Right arm getting weaker and pain worse. I get little relief holding arm straight up. Any suggestions Thank You, Candy

Hi there.
The kind of pain you are experiencing is neurological (due to nerve irritation).
This is happening either at the neck ( known as cervical spondylitis) or at the shoulder region.
The symptoms and path of nerve pain you describe is mainly due to irritation of the radial nerve.
Kindly get a NCV (nerve conduction velocity) test of the right upper limb done.
Get X ray of the neck done. Get these evaluated by an orthopedician.
Treatment :
1. Short course Dexona and Methycobalamine (5days) injections.
2. Duloxetine & Pregablin tablets to suppress nerve pain.
3. Pain killer and anti inflammatory like Etoricoxib.
Further treatment will depend on test results.
