Excessive Coughing With Green Phelgm And Little Blood. On Mucinex DM. History Of Visiting Cold And Windy Region On Holiday. Would Amoxicillin Help?
My wife and I visited Europe recently. We are 59 years old.The weather was cold and windy and we both returned with colds. We both have lots of phlegm and coughing. My phlegm was green and has lasted 4 days. Today I coughed so much there was a few phlegm with some blood. However since midday i have less coughing and much less phlegm. I have taken Mucinex DM. My wife's cold has got worse although she has clear phlegm, but coughs a lot. I warned her this could damage her lungs????(excess coughing) We are sleeping in separate bedrooms to reduce reinfection.Would amoxillin help or please recommendother drugs.
Hi welcome to health care magic forum. Thanks for calling H.C.M.Forum. You and your wife returned from europe trip, eith cold, cough, your phlegm is green and with blood. You are a bit better, and wife had worst cold with clear phlegm. It is not advisible to give self treatment, to prevent un necesory side effects. I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. She may need to have some blood tests to confirm the type of the disease. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Best regards.
