Every Winter I Get Discomforting Pain In My Shoulder(s)

Every winter around this time, I get discomforting pain in my shoulder(s). It usually lasts anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months or more. I get to the point where I can barely lift my arms up (past my chest usually), and the pain wakes me up constantly thru the night. I have no idea what it could be. I have not been involved in any sports or tedious activities of that sort in awhile. I am 21 years old and female.
