Epididymis Seems Thick, Possible Chlamydia Or Gonorrhea. Should I Ask For CBC Or Ultrasound?

Hello, I've seen several topics that seem similar but I'm not sure which fits best. When showering today I noticed that my right epididymis is quite thick. I never really felt around for this before but it's so evident that I thought it was my testicle until I felt that the testicle was still below.

I've read a few things that talk about it possibly being normal, chlamydia or ghonorea to a list of other things. I am quite sexually active which made the two STIs stand out and immediately got my heart racing as I've never contacted any form of STI in the past.

I also find that recently my right testicle does ascend, although this may have been happening for much longer as it does seem a bit more familiar.

I'd be happy to go to a clinic but I'm just looking for an initial opinion, i.e. should I be asking for a full STI workup, CBC, ultrasound etc. I don't want to blow it out of proportion but it's the first time I've ever encountered something like this so just want to know how thorough I should be.

Hi,

If I were your caring doctor would ask to do

-STI workup,
- CBC,
- ultrasound (including of testicles),
- urine analysis

Consult your physician for further evaluation.

All the best!
