Eating Sweets Causes Red Bumps With Yellow Puss At The Back Of Head. Right Medication?
I know this to be a fact. I love sweets, but they cause the back of my head to break out with little red bumps that will have yellow puss in most of them. I'm 61 and this has happened this way for years but didn't matter so much until Baldness took over. Now I just have to slow down a good bit with the intake of sweets. Could their be a Med of Fruit that could combat the sweets?
Hi. Thanks for he query. Little red bumps with pus at the back of your head seems to be folliculitis or furunculosis. They surely must be painful. Intake of sweets (I don't know how much sweets you take at once) can raise blood sugar levels and this might be responsible for recurrent infections.
I suggest you get your blood sugar levels checked to rule out diabetes.
In the mean time take an oral antibiotic like amoxycillin/augmentin for a week and apply topical mupirocin ointment twice daily.
