Does Zinc Supplement Cause Rashes On The Body?

visited my dermatologist with a poison ivy type rash on forearm; of course art was non acute contact dermatitis-- the buzzword for I have no idea... anyway since that visit last week, it has spread to my chin , forehead and other wrist. my dog WAS in the woods, but I live in cold Minnesota. I DO take 50 milligrams of zinc daily...could THIS be the reason for the sudden rash outbreak in multiple locations? I take zinc because EVERYONE in the MIDWEST gets the cold and flu this time of year. Should I try a short term prednisone treatment

rash with the of zinc is very rare.

It may be due ivy poison

from your description I came to know you have progressively developing rash .

I suggest you to take chlorpheniramine and prednisone once.

still if u have no improvement then go to emergency room.

hope I answered your questions in a simple way

if you have any further questions I will be here to help you
