General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the withdrawal of Tamoxifen is usually not associated with heavy menses or vaginal bleeding. Tamoxifen is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used in various conditions of ERPR positive breast cancer and other related conditions.

Tamoxifen is known to produce endometrial hyperplasia and that maybe a major cause of concern, when it is used for a period of 2.5
years. However, I would like to revert back to you with your biopsy report whenever available to share with me.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
