Does Vertigo Or Intake Of Meclizine Cause Nausea?

My father has had nausea and vomiting over 6 weeks they are treating him for possible vertigo.. He had a bad ear infection and was on antibiotics for approx 6 weeks.. He is on meclizine but is still very nauseated. Could this be from the antibiotic or vertigo.? He has had ct scan which have been negative..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Nausea seems drug-related gastritis.

Addition of PPI as pantoprazole with antacid syrup as Mylanta or else would prove much beneficial.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
