Does Using Timodine Causes Inflammation Of Skin To Child?

Hello I am concerned about the effect of Timodine on my toddler s skin infection the doctor prescribed it a couple of days agoo and since we started using it, her skin seems more inflammed and the ring looks bigger and not very nice. Prior to the Timodine, i had cleaned the area with surgical spirit and applied Funbact-A which greatly reduced the inflamation and even appeared to be clearing until a couple of days before visiting the doctor when her skin started flaring again. This infection has been on her for over 6 weeks now and I am concerned. I am skeptical about the effect of the Timodine seeing it is now looking worse than before.

Hello,

The Timodine contains Propyl hydroxybenzoate and Methyl hydroxybenzoate and used for a variety of clinical conditions as fungal (candida), allergic reactions and others. There is known side effect of skin inflammation in some of the cases particularly that sensitive to the molecule. It is recommended to withheld the use of the same at present and report to his consultant office for further guidelines of management. Till the time being approach, application of Calamine lotion will help great deal for soothing purpose without any ill effects.
