Hello Doctor My Name is Prabhu, 40 years old (Male), I have hair loss especially in middle of the head... I heard from friends and Doctor, TTugain solution and Arcolane shampoo to regain the lost hair, is this really works or does it have any side impact, Doctor told results will be seen after 3 months time, will it be the case, this has to be used on ongoing basis to avoid Hair loss Your suggestions are really appreciation Regds Prabhu

Tugain solution is composed of 'minoxidil'. It is used to promote hair growth. Some of the side effects associated with its use include irregular heartbeat, weight gain, shortness of breath, redness of the skin, eye irritation and headache.

Arcolane shampoo is composed of 'ketoconazole'. It is an antifungal medication which is used to treat fungal infections of the scalp. There is no doubt that these medications can be used to prevent and treat hair loss.

However, it would be ideal for you to consult Dermatologist for clinical evaluation first. Appropriate dose of medications which would suit your condition can be prescribed based on clinical assessment.
