Does Urinalysis Result With Many Epithileal Cells And Few Mucus Threads Mean Anything ?

hi i just got my urinalysis result.Can you help me what does this result means?


color:yellow
transparency:clear
reaction pH:6.5
specific gravity: 1.015


albumin: neg
sugar: neg
ketone: neg
nitrite: neg
bilirubin: neg
urobilinogen: norm
blood: neg
leukocytes: neg

RBC: 0-2/hpf
WBC: 1-3/hpf
epithelial cells: many
amorphorus urates: rare
bacteria: few
mucus threads: few

Thanks for posting your query in Health Care Magic, I understand your concern.
From your urine analysis report its evident that you have high counts of epithelial cells, some bacteria and few mucus threads.
A high count of epithelial cells in the urine is an indication that something is wrong with one or more areas of the urinary tract, but in order to determine where, it is necessary to determine what types of epithelial cells are present in the urine. Proper identification of the cells is highly important in order to receive the proper treatment.
Also, the few mucus threads are present normally in urine, If they are present in large amounts then this means there is some underlying infection in any part of the urinary tract.
To notice bacteria is a clear indication that you have an underlying infection (UTI).
Taking antibiotics will help you the infection, I suggest you take ciprofloxacin 250 mg twice daily after food for 5 days.
After 7 days , get another urine test done .
