Does Under-active Thyroid Cause Weight Gain?

i have gained over 2 stone and i have man boobs which i have never had.

the doctor has taken blood tests and i have been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid is this what has made me gain so much fat? i dont drink and i eat healthy foods.



will i ever be thin again?

Hai,

Under active thyroid medically called as hypothyroidism.
In that condition Generally weight gain will be there.other associated symptoms like tiredness,skin dryness,depression will be there because of lack thyroid gland secretion.
kindly consult a endocrinologist to treat your condition. Even though you follow proper lifestyle and diet habit, it wont help you. it need medication.
