Does The Missing To Take Medicine Will Affect My TB Course?

Hi doctor I am suffering from Tb and doctor suggested me fail dose of medicine 1. Akurit-4 3and 1/2 tablet daily before breakfast in morning. 2. Benadon 40mg - 1/2 tablet daily after dinner My concern is I forget benadon to take one day but take that in next day morning does it will affect my course please suggest Thank you

Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the missing dose of Benadon-40.
It is not going to affect the efficacy of the anti TB drugs.

One of the important drug Isoniazid (INH) used in the treatment of TB is known to cause the deficiency of Vitamin Pyridoxine which results in inflammation of the nerves (peripheral neuritis).

So, Benadone (Vitamin Pyridoxine) is supplemented to prevent the side effect of Isoniazide.

It is OK if you have missed for a day.
Next time make sure you don't leave a gap and complete the course.

Besides taking Benadone you are encouraged to take fruits and a high protein diet like meat, poultry, fish and milk.
