Does Taking Laxatives Cause Vaginal Bleeding?

Is there a connection between laxatives and vaginal bleeding. I do not abuse laxatives, I may take 1 or2 senna or 1 dolcalax maybe twice a month. Seems like I then have out of cycle bleeding. I just started the lowest dose birth control pills to take only active pills to take my cycle away altogether. I am 49. Was not on birth control pills before. But I am still having break though bleeding. I am 10 days into 2 nd pack
