Does Taking Diltiazem Cause Dull Ache In Chest?

I AM HAVING PAIN UNDER MY RIGHT RIB CAGE...IT IS DULL AND ACHING PAIN, NOT THROBBING. I RECENTLY STARTED TAKING DILTIAZEM (G E), 180 MG PER DAY. I HAVE READ THAT THIS KIND OF PAIN CAN BE CAUSED BY THIS MEDICATION. wE ARE ON VACATION AND ID LIKE ADVICE ABOUT WHAT TO DO TO RELIEVE THIS PAIN

Recently you started DILTIAZIME 180 mg and developed pain under right rib cage and you are on vacation.
This pain may be due to the side effect of diltiazime as it causes acute hepatic injury, hepatitis ( drug induced ), elevate SGOT /SGPT/AP , and other minor side effects .
So this pain may be due to the side effect of diltiazime but we can't rule out other causes in such acute pain ( dull pain ).
May be due to muscle straining during vacation or consolidation of lower lobe of right lung ( diagnosis can be confirmed by x ray chest ).
In my opinion discontinuous this drug but consult your treating doctor and get his opinion because diltiazime is also important for you , don't forget it.
2nd option is consult some local physician and get his opinion regarding this pain.
