Does Taking Antibiotics Cause Hair Fall?

Hello sir,now I m 20 and I m suffering from hair loss from one and half year.when I take bath or use hair oil I found so much hairs on my shoulders.I think it s more because of the fact that I have already taken so many antibiotics in my early age for my allergy rhinitis.there are dandruff on my head in winter but rest of the time it becomes less. That s all I had to say now kindly suggest me something. THANKS

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Long term antibiotic use can cause hair fall, but that of transient effect in near future only, not after a long period of time lapse. Underlying stress, hormone changes, vitamin E deficiency, dandruff or other fungal infections conditions have to be ruled out as rest of the causes. I would like to address your further doubts as per the need in future always.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
