Does Taking Tylenol With Codeine Cause Stomach Ache?

My daughter is 14 yes old has a broken finger and is scheduled for surgery in morning! I gave her a does of liquid Tylenol with codiene and now complaint of stomach pains! I know this is a side effect but can I give here something to counteract this side effect? Like pepto,or some type of anacid?
