Does Taking Toradol Effect The Process Of Conception?

I had a Toradol injection today for severe strep throat. I am concerned because I m not preventing pregnancy but I have also not reached my projected period date for this month I don t want this to cause harm if infact I could be pregnant since it s too early to tell if I could be. Thanks so much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It does not affect the process of conception. Injection Toradol is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly prescribed for the short-term treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is not known to affect the fertility and therefore there is nothing to worry about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
